Global Centre for Modern Ageing
Global Centre for Modern Ageing
In November 2017, at the Ageing Well Revolution Conference, it was announced that South Australia would be home to Australia’s first living laboratory for Older Australians.
Just eleven months on, The Global Centre for Modern Ageing and Life Lab@Tonsley was officially opened by the Premier of South Australia, Steven Marshall at a energetic reception with live art and music and a clear message encouraging all Australians to start looking at the opportunities around ageing differently.
Our 350 guests representing business, researchers and our ageing citizens enjoyed inspiring speeches from Julia Zaetta (Editor in Chief of Better Homes & Gardens) and Terry Sweeny (IBM Asia Pacific) and a chance to experience new technologies including autonomous vehicles, electric bikes and a tour of the Life Lab@Tonsley.
